Another thing that bothers me as a MEXT student :
1/ the Ministry, who is supposed to sponsor our visa and support us gave us next to zero communication during the past months
2/ no support for the foreign students who didnât make it to japan for April 2020 -

- many students had quit their jobs before going and saved only the necessary amount of money upon arrival knowing that theyâll get the scholarship after. Except that we donât get any financial support although we are stuck in a complicated situation abroad with no job.
- we are not even under the impression that MEXT is trying to check on us or advocate for us so we can get support or be allowed in time for our studies (like the rest of the international students).
3/ for those like me who have started online classes, MEXT has been literally paying for my whole tuition since April 2020 and will continue to pay until whenever. Which means the Japanese government is paying for thousands of peopleâs tuitions and still not letting them in????
3/ and what worries me is that if I am not allowed back in time for my second semester that starts in October I will literally have to drop out but what happens to the tuition etc?? Will I be asked to reimburse everything!? This makes me so anxious
