"Educate yourself", they say.

Like, I suspect, @jk_rowling and other concerned critics, I've now read more of this peer reviewed stuff across all the relevant disciplines (and paid a small fortune to access it) than I ever thought necessary.

Endocrinology: who new?
The fact is that we have educated ourselves. We know how to search, critically assess and verify. And the more we do, the more concerned we are.

When well founded, evidenced, expertly argued points are raised, they are disputed, denied, deflected. No quarter given.

No debate.
This is a dogma, a faith.

It is the behaviour of zealous ideologues. It is not science.

Our concerns are warranted, and we are getting louder. So, too, alas, the voices of those who would not treat trans people compassionately.
It is more than just embarrassing that so many high profile Labour figures like @NadiaWhittomeMP uncritically spout this regressive, dangerous, homophobic, woman hating bullsh!t.

They haven't done their homework.

They are unprepared for debate.

And it shows.
We will be having this debate.

Socialists aren't 'nice' or 'kind'.

We're analytical.

And, as institutions and public wake up, we're going to wipe the floor with all the faux leftists who tell us to educate ourselves as they remain unconcerned by the extracts following:
"Language that conflates sex and gender might close down the means to understand complexity and respond appropriately"

"Unquestioning gender affirmation may itself prove to be another form of conversion therapy"

"Medicine may be in danger of reinforcing social norms"
And, yes, we can deal with these concerns *and* be compassionate *and* be inclusive *and* prevent discrimination *and* provide much needed services.

What we can't do is change sex.
