anyone else out there thinking about how we need to have dialogues about consent in the age of zoom
idk I entered COVID after already working as a web moderator and, like, I think we have to talk about what folks are or are not consenting to see by sheer virtue of being in a zoom room
it's also MUCH harder to read the vibes of a zoom room; it's really easy to miss the fact that a conversation is making people uncomfortable because we're not actively sharing the same space
& all of these boundaries get crossed sometimes and that's okay; it happens. what matters is that we come up with safety tools and guidelines, that we become better at practicing the kind of listening we need to do in zoom space
