I know a lot of the convo is focusing on the localizors, and they deserve recognition too, but mango is a massive chunk of the comix market and culture but its regarded as an after-thought or invader by the critics and western awards

So to even be nominated for something like best writer or best comedy is a rare treat.

Are people really gonna say Nichijou wasnt deserving of best comedy? Hagio Moto should never get a best writer nod?

I will say things are improving at least with the regular award nominees.

But thats also why i go back to the HoF. It just feels weird to have 30+ years of a mango industry represented by:
