How Narcissists Use Twitter

Twitter Users Differ From Facebook-Only Users in terms of Why They Use Twitter, and What They Tweet About

Also, Narcissists do use Twitter differently than non-narcissists, and they tend to be negative about it. 1/n
On Twitter, narcissists are more likely to write negatively and engage in anti-social behaviour in order to gain attention. They curse and name call more.

They talk less about positive emotions than their non-narcissistic counterparts and more about negative emotions.
They talk less about being socially engaged. They talk a lot more about anger. Using a technique called psycholinguistic text analysis - how your personality and mental state comes through in your language, a study was done
Research has shown that narcissism was positively related to perceived victimization When narcissists don’t receive attention (or other things to which they feel entitled), they perceive themselves as victims of the people who are withholding from them.
Narcissists averaged more negativity and more anti-social behaviour than non-narcissists, and they had fewer words about positive emotions and social interactions. But still, they show the positive emotions sometimes.
Twitter users most liked to read tweets/retweets about intellectual topics and least liked to read tweets about diet and exercise, consistent with other findings that information-sharing tweets are liked the most and personal tweets the least! Now...
This leads to an important dilemma for narcissists, they want to talk about themselves more but to gain the much-required attention, they have to jump in intellectual topics!

Here comes the victimhood part !!
I am still working on the connection of with the past trauma or experience which leads to a pseudo-activism (after all its just verbal and not on the ground) on twitter and its connection with the narcissism of the person involved.
