My return to office observations:

1. Large multinationals are v cautious. Encouraging #WFH, esp. big tech firms.
2. #SME policies vary. Generally under financial pressure to get back to norm & driven by company owner personal opinion, rather than board / external advisors.
3. Power shift: workers unconcerned about #Covid impress bosses and rise in ranks. Many talented workers reluctant to return due to safety fears lose out and find themselves first in firing line.

4. Peer pressure: those unconcerned dismiss fears of others, creating #PRESENTEEISM
5. Employers who will succeed are those that will listen, be flexible and use #EMPATHY to understand that many feel #anxious and scared about coming back.

6. Long term gain - treat your team well, trust them...and they will return the favour. Loyalty breeds loyalty!!!
7. #CULTURE - the #empathy and #trust that employers show, will define the company culture moving forward. This especially important bond will be what brings many businesses through the difficult months ahead.
8. Coughs, sniffles and colds will NOT be permitted in the office this winter. Get used to home office, #flexibility and remote #teamwork and #communication. Trust your team.
9. Businesses getting this right not only create loyal bond with their team, but will be best placed in the #Talentwar

9. Don’t make short term decisions - think #longterm! Discuss, empathise & be flexible with your best assets - YOUR TEAM!
