At some point in your life,

You may find that you’re just.. different.

You don’t really relate to the people around you.

You don’t desire the same things they desire.

You may even feel alone at times.
And you don’t know why..

What made you so different?

Why can’t you just be.. like everyone else?

Well— I don’t exactly have the answers for that.

Everyone’s situation is subjective.
It could be your childhood. Your upbringing.

How your parents treated and raised you.

Interactions with people at school. Work. Religious settings.

Things you’ve experienced, read or learned about— that have shaped who you are.
One thing I’m sure of is:

You are different for a reason.

You’re special. You’re needed.

You’ve had to learn things the hard way.

But you learned them early. That’s a blessing in itself.

You’ve gone through experiences that you may not even want to discuss... ever.
Don’t let this bring you down.

There is so much more to live for.

YOU have so much to offer to this world.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.”

Rewrite your story. Overcome your doubts and insecurities.
Hold to your true aspirations, no matter what is going on around you.

Don’t get caught up in the petty, foolish things.

Don’t be a slave to your desires.

Seek not the good in external things. Seek it in yourself.
“The key is to keep company only with people uplift you, whose presence calls forth your best.”

Be careful who you surround yourself with.

This will affect you drastically..

And this applies on social media & in real life.

The sooner you learn this, the better.
I will end this thread off with one of my favorite quotes—

“You have power over your mind..

Not external events.

Realize this, and you will find strength.”
