what isn't "cancel culture": trawling through every labour member and officials' social media accounts and photos, going back decades, to find anything they can construe as being evidence of anti-semitism on the flimsiest of grounds so they can expel them and destroy their lives
just a couple days ago a labour councillor was forced to resign after photos were found by these obsessive freaks of her at a demonstration carrying a sign calling israel a "racist apartheid state". that's it. her resignation led to labour to lose the majority on the city council
an anonymous person found those photos and gave them to the local paper, who published them in an article accusing her of being an anti-semite, and under labour's new rules she is bc calling israel racist is evidence of anti-semitism. her reputation is now forever destroyed
I'm not going to name her bc linking her to me only makes it worse ("cancel culture", eh?) but if you dig around with the details I provided you'll find the articles smearing her. this is going on every day. literally. it's been going over every day for 5 years now
so when I now see the people who not only condone but actively support this elite media class driven hysterically deranged and ongoing smear campaign against good working class folk who just want to make society better rage-whine about "cancel culture", it makes me want to vomit
I can give you example after example, names running into the tens of thousands, of people who have had their lives and reputations destroyed: fired from jobs, forced to resign, death & rape threats, but you don't know any of them, and you don't even care to. OMG DAVID SHOR THOUGH
where are these people's national op-eds hailing them as free speech heroes? where's the outcry in public letters signed onto by billionaire writers and think tank elite freaks who champion genocide and fascism the world over? oh no they're victims of OUR censorship, so it's GOOD

the most important living intellectual writing statements in support of people whose lives are being destroyed by the most deranged media campaign, despite knowing the costs? everyone else was ignoring it, we had no allies. this is why I will forever respect and love that man.
you know what the most disgusting thing of this whole smear campaign is? the most sickening, that when I think about it just fills me with so much disgust and rage? they're taking advantage of these people's empathy for palestinians and turning it into a weapon against them
