This is not to discount the disappointment of evangelical support of Trump. Or excuse racism, sexual abuse, of chauvinism. It’s just, Jesus is bigger. Go back to Scripture. Find like minded church family and demand the church as a whole do better.
I spent years before I came to Christ, angry at failures in the church I saw growing up. I bought into relativism. It was empty. Encountering Jesus Himself is what saved me. I connected with believers who loved Jesus, not just morality.
Fight for your faith. Learn to know and love the person of Christ, not the Fox News loving, boomer they’ve made in the image of Trump. The church needs voices who speak truth to power. You don’t have to abandon your faith to abandon Trump.
