anyone have any excellent interview questions for engineering managers, or good interview processes/experiences to report on? (or tire fire questions, for the entertainment value )

i think my most hilarious/disastrous engineering manager interview as a candidate involved a roleplay scenario. there were two engineers who were role playing having a conflict of some sort, and i was supposed to debug or solve it.

ofc they weren't very good actors, and the more questions i asked the more confused i became about what was supposedly going on, and the more confused they became about what answers they were supposed to be giving.

i think i ended up snapping "this is stupid". was not hired, lol
