When we look at other countries when it comes to opening schools, let’s be realistic.

Other countries have their spread under control.

Germany: 569 new cases per day
Italy: 280 new cases per day
UK: 560
Canada: 543
Johns Hopkins says “testing programs should be scaled to the size of their epidemic, not the size of the population.”
Also: “Looking at the positivity rate (ie, out of all tests conducted, how many came back positive for COVID-19) is the most reliable way to determine if a government is testing enough.
There’s a key word up there: government.

Do we have a national testing plan? Nope.
Trump does have a PR and blackmail plan, though. https://twitter.com/GovLarryHogan/status/1285308606229798912?s=20

I want my kids to go to school. But I want for it to be as safe as possible.

Hamilton County, where we live, is currently under a red alert, meaning: “very high exposure and spread. Limit activities as much as possible.”

Does "very high exposure and spread. Limit activities as much as possible" sound like it's under control? Like it's safe? It doesn't to me.
It seems like there might be a difference between these two graphs.
If our kids are to go back to school, we must demand that:
-spread be under control, and a generally accepted benchmark (ie transmission levels at or below 1) as to what “under control” means
-testing AND data be easily accessible
Also, it didn't have to be this way. VOTE.
