THREAD!

So, I'm playing Spurs next at home. Being a newly promoted team, and Spurs being a top tier Premier League club, it's a game I expect to lose.

This is the report
What do I take from this? Well, Kane is going to try boss around my defenders with his height and strength, so I'm going to tackle him hard. Son is going to attempt to cut inside when he can, however he is very two footed, and playing him onto his weaker foot won't help much.
So I'm going to let him cut in, but I'm going to press him quickly and mark him tightly, so he's not as effective when he does so.

My aim here, is during the attack, Son cuts in, Davis pushes up, and we force Son into making an error, hopefully having lots of space to counter.
Alli is Spurs' prime creator and tempo setter, by the look of it.

Tight marking and pressing him fast, tackling him hard and showing him onto his weaker foot, should hopefully limit what he can do on the ball.
Alderwireld is a BPD, he's probably going to have the ball at his feet, looking for that clinical pass from the back or trying to find Alli, let's close him down as fast as we can, in an attempt to force him into a mistake..
Lloris is a SW, is he going to be off his line/edge of the box with the ball? Probably. Close him down, force him to make a quick pass, and not give him time on the ball, hoping he makes a mistake.
Full-time: Brentford 1 - 0 Spurs

Our goal? Came from a mistake Alli made due to us closing him down so fast and him losing the ball.

Spurs' worst rated player? Alli with a 6.1 rating, their main creator and tempo setter, had a poor game as our players were all over him.
Only Davies (7.1) & Son (7.0) had ratings 7 or higher for Spurs.

Alli - 6.1
Kane - 6.4

Were the two lowest for Spurs, and could argue they are 2 of their top 3/4 players? We completely took them out the game.
And yeah, Spurs had more of the ball and more chances overall, but they are a much better team, so it's expected.

But our 1 goal, from our 1 shot on target came from a mistake Alli made, due to me telling my players to:

Mark him tight.
Close him down fast.
Tackle him hard.
In my opinion, without me looking at that report pre-match, and trying to counter the info it's telling me, chances are we'd have come away with 0/1 point from this game.

But we now have 3 points.
