THREAD: Why Mahrez is no where near comparable to Salah
The Mahrez vs Salah debate started ever since Salah joined the premier league and even though it may have been a debate then, Salah has done enough over 3 seasons to the point where comparing him to Mahrez is disrespectful.

Here is why
"Salah only scores this much because of the system he is in"

This argument would work if Salah didn't get more G/A in a Roma than Mahrez did with Leicester in their title winning season.

Salah 28 G/A while Mahrez 27 G/A

Reminder that one was on a title winning side.
In Salah's "bad season" he has 33 G/A while Mahrez has 28 G/A

Now sure, one sits on the bench for a big part of the season while the other one plays regularly, however, Salah has more a 7 game winning goals, while Mahrez has 3.-
Which means that even when Mahrez has played, he has scored in games such as (8-0 Watford, 5-0 West Ham,4-0 Brighton) while Salah has had to score in games such as (3-1 Arsenal, 2-1 Spurs, 3-1 City)

Mahrez Left Salah Right
Mahrez has always been advocated to be the more pleasing individual to watch which is true, however, I have always been big on efficiency>aesthetics and surprisingly, even in dribbles which are Salah's weak point, he still leads
Salah is in all three categories while Mahrez is no where to be seen, it's disrespectful at this point.
"Mahrez provides more to the game than just goals and assists"

Yet he aint even top 5 most productive attackers over the last 3 seasons, once again proving that there is no debate about who is the most effective.
Most Goals + Assists In The PL This Season

Kevin De Bruyne (29)
Mohamed Salah (28)
Jamie Vardy (28)
Sadio Mané (24)
Marcus Rashford (24)
Raul Jimenez (23)
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (22)
Danny Ings (22)
Anthony Martial (22)
Son Heung-Min (21)
In his "worst season" he is 2nd on the league in productivity while Mahrez is once again nowhere to be seen, It's tiring to see him compared to Mahrez.
I don't care how much of an advocate for the eye test you are, 100 goal involvements in less appearances objectively makes him the better player, it's simply too big of a number to be ignored.
It must be tiring being in the Messi bracket and being compared to bums like Mahrez
Salah is objectively one of the best attackers to grace the prem and every moment we spend comparing him to Mahrez is a moment of severe disrespect.

For the people who will still claim eye test, you are simply hiding behind the fact-
that Mahrez does not have any evidence that suggests he is better than Salah besides a few cute dribbles 👍
