DOCTRINES OF DEVILS:

Satan tailors his doctrines to deceive us in whatever way he can. There isn’t just ONE way.

And there isn’t any integrity in his plan—Satan doesn’t have a “gospel.” He has anti-gospels. 1/

Remember, the devil KNOWS what is true doctrine. And hates it. He actually introduced us to relativism and “you do you” to make it look like there are “many ways to heaven.”

Truth is, he is a liar and has been from the beginning. 2/

He didn’t just have a “different” plan than God. He had a fake plan that he tried to sell to us. One that never would have been viable. One that never would have come to be. 3/

So now that each of us on earth didn’t want his fake plan, he’s angry and jealous, and just as before, he lies to us. In a variety of ways, he aims his fiery darts at our weaknesses. Hoping one, or more, will stick. 4/

Nehor, Sherem, and Korihor all used DIFFERENT types of doctrines to appeal to the particular weakness of the people in their midst. One size never fits all in sin, for as King Benjamin said: “There are diverse ways and means, even so many I cannot number them.” Mos. 4:29 5/

Thus, by diverse ways and means, the evil one gets us to lazily grasp onto a more culturally and naturally “appealing” doctrine that will leave us blind to the true way—the ONE way to Eternal Life. 6/

DOCTRINE OF CHRIST:

The doctrine of Christ, on the other hand, is simply ONE way. It is unchanging and WE learn that we must do whatever we can to change our worldly attitudes to fit HIS doctrine. 7/

The prophet Nephi saw the day when the House of Israel would be taught “The very points of HIS DOCTRINE, that they may know HOW to come unto him and be saved.” 1 Ne. 15:14 (Emphasis added). 8/

So there is a way. There is a how. There are “very points of doctrine.” There is one size, and we must work to fit ourselves into it.

He doesn’t change His doctrine to fit our cultural whims. Instead, He inspires US to fit into His celestial certainty. 9/

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6 and also that “Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14 /10

So we have on the one hand, a devil that cheats and deceives us SOLELY to cause us to stray from Christ’s way.

And on the other, we have Christ that gently leads us on His way by reminding us to partake of His atonement and keep His commandments. /11

With the devil’s twisted paths, we end up betrayed and remorseful.

With Christ’s one strait path, we end up moving closer to deity—both in presence and in godly progress.
