How I lost 20lbs in 3 weeks (Thread)

Now before I get into this, theres different methodologies that can be applied to lose weight. One thing that stays the same no matter the way you chose too is that you must be in a caloric deficit.
The other important thing is you need to have some general knowledge of what macronutrients are (carbs, fat, proteins).
The first thing I did to lose weight so quickly is track my macronutrients. This eliminates guesswork as much as possible and if I know how much calories I'm putting in my body I know once cut those calories down, my weight is going down
Example: if you're eating 3500cals a day and want to lose weight you can drop you're calories down 3300 and you'll start to lose weight. If you kept eating 3500 cals your weight stays the same and if you eat over 3500cals you'd start gaining weight.
Dropping my calories, overtime is by far the biggest thing that helped with this. Now let's dig a bit deeper.
In order to lose weight, you want to focus on eating nutrient dense food vs calorie dense food. Nutrient dense food are food that are low in calories but very nutritious and calories dense food are high in calories but low in nutrients.
How to deal with cravings: as a baseline 80% of your diet should be quality food high in nutrients and the other 20% should be food you crave. If you have more discipline you can do a 90/10 split. Less discipline 70/30 split but work towards at least an 80/20 split.
The other factors you want to nail down in order to make weight loss as smooth as possible is sleeping at least 8hrs+, exercising consistently (3-4x a week) and avoiding liquid calories as well as drinking more water.
Hormonal balance: having balanced hormones is another big factor. Make sure you're diet has enough protein, that your managing your stress well and getting enough sleep are all things that promote a healthy hormonal balance
