I hear from neighbors who care about health care and public health. The GOP addresses these issues by wanting to repeal the Affordable Care Act – which includes protections for preexisting conditions (#24), banning abortion (#15), and hating Planned Parenthood (#41).
I hear from neighbors who care about strong support for education at all levels. The GOP addresses this by requiring abstinence education (#11) and allowing educators to teach against evolution (#12). Nothing about early childhood education or higher ed.
I hear from neighbors who want to prevent gun violence and suicide and help the most vulnerable among us, like people struggling with addiction or dealing with homelessness. ...
... The GOP platform prioritizes guns (three resolutions: #7, #46 and #47, including asserting that red flag laws lead to more rape), God (10 commandments - #4, the role of church - #39), and opposing funding for public broadcasting (#50).
Half of ND’s legislative seats are up for re-election in November. Vote for Dem-NPL candidates who support real solutions related to health care, education, and safe & healthy communities - not to mention treating every person with dignity.
