Love is a skill. A skill that needs to be learned and practiced in a variety of ways. We think it’s just something in us that we will naturally be good at, but for most people that’s not true.
Do you actually know what your grief is and how it shows up in your ability to love? Or have you been ignoring this your whole life?
Do you love your friends and family well? Have they loved you well? How will this show up with romantic partners?

Why do you think these skills will just suddenly appear?
What is your love language? What is your apology language? How does your culture and or religion teach/social love and relationships?
What is your love utopia? And in what ways does your own behavior not fit into that utopia?????
How do you practice tenderness? What do you consider to be the dimensions of love? bell hooks says it’s “care, commitment, trust, responsibility, respect and knowledge.”
Knowing the answers to these questions is just one part. How do you practice these things? What do you actually do?????
