The NBA sent teams this week a list of 105 players who received the most votes to be invited to the NBA Combine, should one actually take place. This list would eventually be whittled down to 70 if needed by teams, again by vote.

From our standpoint, its constructive to compare the list of 105 players against those on our ESPN Top 100, to see who was and wasn't invited. Are we too high or low on certain guys? Here's a side by side comparison.

Not much disagreement between ESPN and the NBA on the Top-90 prospects in the draft, which is good to see. The only exception among Americans is Houston's Nate Hinton (#68 on ESPN 100), who NBA teams may have been surprised to see stay in the draft, or perhaps we're too high on?

Yam Madar (surprising omission) and the other five Europeans are also not a major surprise, as NBA teams perhaps didn't think would be able to attend the NBA Combine if it were held. That didn't stop them from voting for eight other international players on the ESPN 100, though.

This does indicate that perhaps we're lower on int'l prospect Vit Krejci than the NBA (we'll fix that). Also interesting to note that 10 of the 17 players on the NBA 105 and not on the ESPN 100 are big men. There are a LOT of bigs in this draft. But the NBA wants to see them.

AFAIK, the NBA doesn't traditionally send out this list of 105 Combine prospects to teams to whittle down. They just take the Top 60-70 and bring them to Chicago. Why they did that this year I'm not entirely clear on. Maybe this becomes the list of guys who they do medicals on?
