For people who missed it, @/HouseOfDameron made a fake acc (Peggy) and pretended to be a female SW fan with leaks to see if women in fandom are more likely to be harassed. I wish I had screenshots. He said he wasn't going to delete or go priv bc it would be a disservice (1/3)
to those he hurt, but that is exactly what he did. Rather than listen to women in the fandom and use his platform to amplify female voices, he manipulated and lied to people. He claimed he didn't know women experienced this type of treatment in his weak apology, but (2/3)
clearly he did to se extent. Otherwise, Peggy would not exist. He frequently referred to it as a "joke" or "experiment." Even in his apology, he failed to see what made it wrong. Women need to be listened to. You shouldn't have to RP as a woman to believe we are harassed. (3/3)
