Young female soprano pipistrelle found in someone's living room. She likely came down the chimney! Hoping it will be a quick feed up and then release - she's old enough to fly
I know. I said I was on a break.

She seems a bit weak and unable to fly at the moment. Quite skinny when she came in but has eaten a few worms this afternoon.
Presuming she survives the night OK, she will be in need of a name... suggestions?
She is fine this morning and has put on weight
thanks for all the amazing name suggestions, I'll have a look at them shortly

Loved @GiselleAlbrech2 of naming this female soprano pip after one of the soprano roles in Die Fledermaus (The Bat), so this is little Adele!
These bpats can easily eat half their body weight in a day, so they tend to be able to put weight back on quickly. She's already looking better compared to yesterday!
Just a little flutter
She's got places to be
Oh! BIG YAWN!
Yes she's on the lampshade, but don't worry, the bulb is very very cool, barely tepid to touch
She flew a few laps around the living room this evening
hopefully she will be able to go in a few days!

Excellent flying, Adele!!! Check out that 10/10 landing at the end
More heckin zoomies
(I can confirm this is the technical term)

Little scratch
I'm going to release her tonight!! I'll try and get a video...
Whilst we were waiting, we found her roost! At least 7 bats came out from under this fascia board in 5 minutes - her family & friends!
When she took off, she flew over to the roost - another bat immediately joined her and they flew a few laps together over the garden before flying around to the courtyard...

...and here she is feeding quite merrily up high! Got the proper warm fuzzies now - she'll hopefully follow the others back to the roost tonight and go on to breed there in the future...
