Y’all need to stop talking like you know the problems and situation of a city you haven’t even been to since a concert in 2011.

You also need to stop pretending that simply letting heavily armed, untrained people rough up a few “undesirables” is going to improve the situation.

The concept that a paramilitary force is going to just go fix deep rooted systemic problems that have been battled constantly from many angles for my entire lifetime is ludicrous.

There are hundreds of cash strapped efforts that do need help and resources, right now.

If you can’t recognize that, it was never really about the problems we face as cities.

Maybe you just want to see some people with different opinions than you beaten up on TV, for being too “uppity”.

Oh, and this tactic of trying to convince white city residents and suburbanites that their city is a hellhole? This isn’t 1960. It won’t work. We love our cities, and care about resolving their problems in meaningful ways. We get that a place can have problems and still be great.

Please don’t make things worse, then leave us to pick up the pieces again.
