Questions being asked now @NottsCC Full Council Meeting to the Chair of the Communities & Place Committee Cllr. John Cottee, about failures to achieve less than 50% of the available emergency Gov. funding under the Active Travel Fund.
Cllr. Cottee begins to respond to the 3 questions, but freezes up via the online tech. Somehow seems symbolic of this @Conservatives Groups ability to deliver on Green and Active Travel.

Discussion is moved on whilst they try to get him back.
Cllr. Cottee back in the (virtual) room. General response. Says the auth. was disappointed, and quotes that some others also failed to receive full funding. Seems like distraction. Among everything being said, he seems to admit that some of the bids were simply not accepted.
Also, highlighting plans which exist (see website) and that @NottsCC have invested [only] £3.6m in improving cycling provision in Nottinghamshire in the last 3 years. One to watch closely, and well worth petitioning your Cllr. with all ideas for improvements in this area.
Now @UKLabour Cllr. Liz Plant pressing for more detail given tight timescales as to how Cllr. Cottee's Committee will fully engage with District and Borough Councils to deliver a joined up view and better result for Tranche 2 of the Active Travel funding. Deadline is 7th Aug.
Cllr. Cottee says that proper consultation with Districts and Boroughs simply not possible in the timescales. But does welcome any representations - so please do all write to him, and your local Councillor.
