We were shown a documentary in school, children who used to work in firework industry(Sivakasi). After almost 12-15 years I came across those images and videos again. Still remember That picture where the child was lying on the bed and her body was burnt. 😓
<won’t share pics>
Here some pics! Not related to accident.
Then there is beedi/tobacco industry.
Mica/cosmetic industry. This was in news last year a LOT. (Mica mines). Those glitters aren’t worth this.
Glass making factories.
Textile and Silk Industry.
Even Biscuit factories.
These pics were recommendations when I was reading on Fireworks industry. (Most are old)
This is more like an appreciation thread for our parents who worked really hard so that we do not have to face such hardships in such a young age & gave us a life that we are having rn.
Thank them!
And should see ourselves lucky.
Apart from that we should do our part to make lives of these children better.
(Like giving up cosmetics in which mica sourced by such method , etc)
Everyone deserves to have a happy childhood, & not working in a dingy factory.
End.
