i've noticed that his supporters have largely stopped going "OBVIOUSLY HE MISSPOKE" & just pretending he didn't say something incredibly goofy.
i mean, if he's your guy, you're gonna be doing a lot of work to try to make him seem like he's not melting like an otter pop on a dashboard.

no, no it doesn't make sense.
this stuff is a reflex at this point.
like, you don't have to do that, y'know.
