IKIGAI

1/ What is ikigai?

It's a combination of Japanese words: 'iki-' means life, 'kai' means 'effect, result, worth or benefit'.

Combined, it simply means 'a reason for living'.

It can also be thought of 'something that makes life worth living' or 'raison d'être'.
2/ Concepts related to ikigai

In his book, @kenmogi's framework to understand this concept revolves around 5 pillars:

- starting small
- releasing yourself
- harmony and sustainability
- the joy of little things and
- being in the here and now
3/ Ikigai as a diagram

This visual guideline might help to shed some light, but I think the meaning of ikigai might actually be deeper and more complex.

Nevertheless it's a good place to start understanding.
