The right-wing ecosystem is tight & incestuous. This is how their bread is buttered. It's not just business, but social circles, funding, private-sector jobs. Even though they know he's terrible for the country, they play the game, say the words & act for sake of a livelihood 2/
So what's worse: a true believer who drinks the Kool-Aid or a person who KNOWS better, knows how disastrous he is but still enables him for sake of power & money? Many who were "moderate" at the start have since turned because they know Trumpism is the future of the movement.3/
Finally, this is why I do have some respect for folks who broke decisively with Trump. For many, it came at great personal & financial cost, including being ostracized from the conservative movement. However, affirmative action always helps conservatives so they'll land up. 4/
