going to take people a while to gain the knowledge and language to identify "Community As Service" employment models and the insanely negative impact they have on communities.

makes me feel a sad, so i'll try to at least get folks thinking about it a little.
please consider the rise in relevancy of sites like Youtube, Twitch, Patreon and Onlyfans.

these are effectively means of employing people while obfuscating the employment process, and profiting off of their labor.
"Capitalism will never go after Furry, Furry is too NSFW lmao" says ILoveBigDickSkunks420 as he puts 5$ into a Patreon Sub.

these are means by which capital interests can access revenue of internally trading communities which comprise large, untapped marketing demographics.
and as impoverished members of these communities are given the option of self employment, they bring members of the community to external sites intended to take a percentage of the internal community revenue for themselves.

which... okay, whatever. that's how life is.
but this becomes a threat to the identity of the community because these sites then impose guidelines, regulations and standards that were not present in the community.

capital interests begin to shape and dictate what is acceptable expression within the community.
after all, Big Dick Skunk needs revenue from his Patreon to supplement his minimum wage job so that he can afford to purchase oxygen for the next two weeks.

so, Big Dick Skunk has to comply, and start removing anything that Patreon deems unbefitting speech for their employees.
it bothers me that people don't recognize this. they do not recognize firstly that they are employed, and that their employers have formed a specific and hostile contract with them.
and the audience does not realize they are contributing to the undermining of their community.
i'm not asking people to Stop Having Patreons, Youtube, Twitches and Onlyfans.

economically, you've been put in a position where it's an appealing option to tread water or better. please, milk that cash train if you can.

but recognizing these for what they are is important.
because i really like furry, and i don't want furry to be dictated by capital interests.

and these past few years, with furry integrating into all of these mediums, and vocalizing through twitter, furry has started to belong less to its participants and more to shareholders.
