There’s a lot of discussion around religious discernment and entering on Catholic Twitter as of late. But I think it’s important that anyone discerning get their information directly from the orders they’re interested in because practices and philosophies differ. 1/3

If you’re discerning, it helps to look around at multiple orders and to ask about their entrance requirements. It’s a good sign when a vocation director has a relatively clear process and looks out for you and your readiness first rather than in getting you in asap. 2/3

Also, this can be a topic filled with a lot of pain for people. Not all orders have dealt with or currently deal with discernment and entering well. Even when they do, people still get hurt. So, if anyone is out there is feeling pain right now—know we are praying for you. 3/3
