I’d also like to ask @RepBobbyRush , who runs the PD in Minneapolis? In Chicago? In LA? STL? In NYC? Where these cases happen? If you’re mad at the policies that lead to bad policing, talk to the members of your own party who created and implemented them. https://twitter.com/DLoesch/status/1286099212950798342
Last time a Republican was mayor in Louisville? Who selects the police chief, Congressman? I don’t see Trump’s name on this list.
Let’s look at my hometown of St. Louis. Who selects the police chief again? Who sets policy? I don’t see Trump’s name here, either.
Looking at the city of Chicago, I’m beginning to see a trend. I agree with you — ditch bad policies and bad city employees, including bad cops. But who writes the policies? Which party controlling these cities has looked the other way for so many years?
Congressman, it’s absolute fact that in all the years your party has run these cities where these cases of police brutality made national news, your party did nothing to reform anything. Did you only just now become concerned as people began noticing? With Trump as the scapegoat?
Your opinion is your own, Congressman but the facts are not. To conclude, I might ask you what YOU and your party are going to do to remedy the problem created by your policies?
Thanks for the discussion.
Thanks for the discussion.
(To add: If Rep. Rush is so concerned about the other amendments, perhaps he’ll join me then in defending the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th, Amendments by opposing the red flag laws his party supports.)
