Many of these Dems are not mounting an unequivocal opposition to this fascist takeover because it’s just a stone’s throw away from the policies they’re permitting in their own states & cities. Trump’s fed forces are an escalation of the local police terrorism they already enable.
That’s why they keep using this lukewarm language around the federal forces that never actually affirms the rights of the protesters.
Folks are confused because they still believe Dems are actually trying to resist with everything they have when they definitely are not...

...And that’s why folks perhaps don’t recognize that nothing is being done to actually prevent the steady march toward fascist dictatorship that the US has been on the past 20 years at least.
Right now we’re on track for Trump to be the 1st official dictator in the USA or for the groundwork to be laid for a more savvy politician to pick up where he left off.
Maybe these politicians should join the protesters in the streets if they really want to resist the occupation instead of just issuing statements.
