1/ Watching the in-group, group-think, bee-hive swarming by every Twitter social-climber and on-line warrior against @mtaibbi is amazing to be behold.

He’s the same journalist you’ve admired for 2 decades as he mercilessly exposed the corrupt financial system and war machine.
2/ He hasn’t “changed.”

What’s changed is you: your utter inability to tolerate even slight deviations from whatever orthodoxies your group holds at the moment, all driven by social media, which converts every bit of dissent into an atrocity, betrayal, heresy, in-group treason.
And don’t even bother with the innocent, eye-batting, “oh-we’re-just-doing-our-own criticism-of-Matt” routine. Anyone minimally sentient sees that far more than that is being done.
