I don’t know how many protests you’ve been to, but your average thunderstorm protest doesn’t look like NYC right now
It’s an incredible protest in NYC tonight for Black Lives, against the NYPD destruction of Occupy City Hall, and against Trump’s threats, all in the pouring rain.
The NYPD just showed up in riot gear and tried to cut the peaceful march in half with barricades right before they got to city hall. Most marchers got through.
Tons of NYPD at city hall to protect a public park from the public
At least 150 NYPD officers at NYC City Hall Park dressed like this to defend the public park from the public.
NYC City Hall Park right now.
Only 1 of the NYPD officers on the front line at City Hall right now is wearing a mask.
Bubble Boy just showed up at tonight’s NYC protest
Múltiple NYPD wearing their masks like this. Even though two days ago they were in Queens with masks stopping people on Steinway - for not wearing masks.
Lovers protesting in the rain. #NycProtest
Word went out about tonight’s NYC protest this morning. And this is what it looks like. After two hours in the pouring rain.
It just keeps going #NycProtest
The protest has arrived at Washington Square Park. #nycprotests
Realized I didn’t provide context really, so here’s the context for the NYC protest tonight:

I highly recommend bringing extra socks to a protest. Especially if you think it might rain. My feet would be grateful for some non-drenched socks right now.
