Will we eventually accept as a nation that, for our own survival as a people with a steadfast founding value of personal freedom (never fully realized, yet) we must be willing to value and defend others’ freedoms as just as diligently as our own?
I feel like there is really no return from this point. If the Universe has to take us farther into this dying phase than it has in 2020, we will be overcome and overtaken.

The United States has such potential, while we must right our countless past wrongs as best we can
But that would be the adult/mature thing to do. Right now we are clearly acting as adolescents, playing dangerous & arrogant games with people’s lives. Bucking rules and pushing limits. Maybe that’s what this United States is, an adolescent, in its young 244 years.
There are precious few adults in this situation, not enough yet to rally the masses to rightly influence & keep us from disaster while continuing to foster growth into our true self - a diverse, loving, kind and compassionate society. That’s my fantasy for us, anyway.
These are the thoughts I have while I see the consequences of our collective actions lying in hospital beds dying without even the decency of having an ungloved, familiar hand to hold as they leave this existence. 🤷🏻‍♀️
