Why Lil Wayne is one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time (a thread)
Lil Wayne boasts one of the greatest album series of all time with "Tha Carter" series, which are all some of Wayne's best work. Also the easiest way to get into his music.
Lil Wayne birthed and inspired some of the greatest rappers of this generation. He signed Nicki Minaj and Drake to Young Money, one of the biggest labels of this generation.

He inspired Kendrick Lamar as well, leading to Kendrick Lamar making a mixtape called "C4" in 2010.
Lil Wayne's style of music can be seen in some of the biggest trap artists of today, such as Young Thug, Future and Lil Uzi Vert. A large amount of artists have praised Wayne for the music he's created.
He brought the standards of a mixtape to a much higher level than ever before, which only 50 Cent has done before him. Lil Wayne has arguably the greatest mixtape discography of all time, as well as the greatest mixtape series with the Dedication series.
Since 2003, Lil Wayne has not written down a single bar. Every bar he has come up since 2003 was off the top of his head, and considering the amount of amazing projects he's put out since then, that's one of the most impressive feats in hiphop.
