While it may seem pointless or rude or nasty to respond to posts by Trump enablers with severe vitriol, there is a method to the madness.

In 2015 and 2016, we said too little and allowed Trump supporters to mistakenly think he was more respected and popular than he is.

1/
Responding to every single one of Trump’s little lackeys with a caustic disrespect isn’t intended to influence that lackey.

Instead, it controls the tenor of the conversations under their posts.

It demonstrates to onlookers that those lackeys are held in widespread contempt.
2/
Trump’s entire allure was an illusion of strength and competence.

The act of degrading that illusion matters.

Making clear he and his flying monkeys are viewed with disgust matters.

3/
I will absolutely welcome the day we needn’t show up under the posts of terrible people to prevent others from mistaking our silence for acceptance or agreement.

That day is not today. Voice your active contempt every single day. Don’t stop.

It matters.

And let me just add one more thing to this:

Most human beings don’t like conflict. They aren’t fans of tension and animosity. They tire of wars - even ideological ones.

Most people would give up some things to merely have some peace in their lives.

5/
The more stressful and divisive life becomes under Trump, the more it accrues to Biden’s favor.

People do not want four more years of intense warring and animosity.

Sometimes you have to enlarge a problem to solve it.

6/
The less at peace the average person is in Trump’s America, the more attractive the alternative.

Hold nothing back. The time is now.
