@GovMurphy @NJDeptofHealth Here we are, 92 days of briefings and 130 days since our first death in #NJ and our #covid19 database and the dashboard reporting continues to be among the worst in the nation. I offer these suggestions in the next series of tweets. /1
To attempt to qualify these shortcomings.

* There is a daily discrepancy between New cases that is reported and the actual delta between Todays total and Yesterdays total. This needs to be more transparent. The reported new cases include duplicates and out of states. /2
* New cases (complete with duplicates and out of state positives) Are being improperly graphed on the dashboard. This should be the Delta of Today and Yesterday, not the one that overcounts cases. If this is being graphed here, its likely being used in Rt, overstating it. /3
* Rt needs to be more transparent. Nowhere is the calculation public. This is the only metric that is causing the pause in NJ, yet the public has no access to it. It also needs to be provided daily so that it can be graphed over time, not hardcoded into the dashboard /4
* The data inside the pdf document on the dashboard needs to be in a more workable form for the public. Namely, deaths should be provided by Date of Death, not some undefinable "Illness Onset Date". The scale is so messed up we have no idea when old deaths are added and when. /5
* The "New Lab confirmed deaths" aren't "new". They are old, harvested deaths. Provide a true epidemiological chart that shows date of death. Its confusing to say 1 death in July, 24 deaths total, with 5 deaths in last 24 that isnt reported in the total 24. #cleanitup /6
* The transaction of Probable Death resolution needs to be more #transparent. Today, 54 deaths just vanished. How many ended up in the count of 24? How many were determined not Covid? Providing a list of deaths, date, age, and County would fix this. /7
* Hospitalizations are being overstated. Of the 873 admitted, only 423 are covid positive. The rest are simply presenting with any symptom that could be Covid related, but no test. This needs to be broken out PER day, not wait for a verbal update at a press conference /8
The demographics tab has essentially been abandoned. Not updated since 6700 deaths. The PDF contains more updated data, so not sure why this exists as a tab anymore. The pdf should have a database behind it so the public can extract the necessary data. /9
* Antibody testing. We continue to lag other states. We've done 600,000 (!!!!) antibody tests in NJ, thats almost 7% of our entire population, but the state has provided *ZERO* results to the public. Why? #lackoftransparancy #Unacceptable /10
Hopefully some of our reporters in NJ will help our DOH get their information together, because its not acceptable in its current form. @kerpen @kurtsiegelin @News12NJ @ThePressofAC @NJmedia @njdotcom @AsburyParkPress @cpsj @NJTVNews @SaveJersey @GSI_NewJersey /end
