—a horrible tweet five years ago that’s views you no longer stand by and fight against, cancel culture will still get you. it’s terrifying. if we cancel people and aim to deplatform them when they actively want to change, people! aren’t! going! to! want! to! change!!—
all of a sudden, these sins that they no longer stand by will forever be dragged along with them to dismiss the actual work they put into fighting the bigotry they once had. no one is born fully aware, we all start off ignorant. it’s whether we choose to grow that determines it.
now..how is it ableist ??
it’s ableist against ppl with adhd, add, aspergers, and autism !! for us it’s hard to get social cues. i’ve been told by ppl i have issues w respecting boundaries yet heavily guard my own. is it problem i should fix ? YES. is it a problem i’m fixing?—

YES. does my neurodivergence explain why i do it and how it wasn’t out of malice? YES. so should i be susceptible to cancel culture? NO. we cannot live in a progressive society that shamed those that progress later in life.
now have you partaken in cancel culture and feel bad for normalizing an ableist concept?? do you?? then change!! that’s the beauty of it. you can actually change without having the past define you. if everyone’s past was used against them, we’d all be cancelled. it doesn’t work.
