Conservatives: we should be skeptical of massive militarized law enforcement agencies. Remember Waco & Ruby Ridge
Also conservatives: what’s going on in Portland is great, stan Chad Wolf, I hope it never stops
Dopes swarming my mentions can’t seem to figure out you can admit that militarized federal law enforcement is bad *and* the Portland rioters/Weavers/Davidians are/were a valid issue for law enforcement to deal with
A) Weaver should’ve never been jammed up over clear entrapment but you don’t have a right to just not go to court when arrested/indicted.
B) the shooting of Sam Weaver, in an exchange of gunfire on both sides, doesn’t negate that basic fact that serving a warrant is legal
C) If you still think the Davidians were just nice eccentrics exercising their 2A rights then go read the Danforth report. Beyond the child abuse, there was more than enough probable cause (later proven) to investigate illegal weapons charges.
D) the lessons of Waco/Ruby Ridge isn’t “wow what great people who got done wrong” but that even lawful, justifiable federal action can immediately turn into needless death due to decades of militarization.
E) People in OR should be investigated/arrested etc for federal crimes. Also federal civilian law enforcement should act like civilian law enforcement and stay within the bounds of American law, given how easy it is to pervert lawful action into needless violence
