Weary of being on here. Manchester United have lost once in the last twenty-one games across all competitions - once! - currently sit third in the table, got to two cup semifinals and in with a great shout in the Europa League in Ole’s first full season. What exactly do you want?

Everyone accepts we have no squad depth, everyone accepts we need another defender, everyone accepts we need more than Matic protecting the back line, everyone accepts the board is shite, everyone accepts we’ve suffered key injuries this season, and yet we’re third.

Why do people act like Manchester United never dug out results or looked a bit leggy under Sir Alex or got dumped out of cup competitions? Why do people act like every defeat is the end of the line or every victory makes us the United of ‘99 or ‘08?

If you want to vent be angry at the board that saw Manchester United finish 2nd with Mourinho and never improved the squad. Be angry at the powers who said nah! to Fernandes last summer and let us struggle for 6mths only to buy him in Jan + let two forwards go without replacing.

Solskjaer knows how he wants Manchester United to play. He also knows characters he wants at the club. You can like him or not but I’m 100% certain he’ll be the one who sets the foundations for any future success. The real question is whether this board will *actually* back it.
