Let’s say, hypothetically, that Wisconsin just wanted to *discuss* a potential mask requirement.

If they did so in a public hearing of the Senate or Assembly health committee, that would be the first time that committee met during the pandemic *at all*. https://twitter.com/danrshafer/status/1282796084692242432
Now, the Committee that would rule on a potential mask requirement proposal from @GovEvers (which, to be clear, he should propose) is called the Joint Committee on the Review of Administrative Rules.

That committee...yikes.
They tossed the entirety of @DHSWI safer-at-home replacement (offering no alternative) and sided with Vos in passing the buck to local governments.

Since then, that committee decided against banning conversion therapy ( https://www.wiscnews.com/news/state-and-regional/republican-led-committee-punts-on-rule-to-prohibit-conversion-therapy/article_0d0807a6-1f58-57da-8aca-b67ba3ee93d5.html), and...wait for it...
...held a last-minute meeting not to ban evictions during a pandemic, but to mandate that tenants pay late fees! https://twitter.com/DanRShafer/status/1282296844442382343
