TIME is is deep deep shit for this one. a pile of manure so big they won’t be able to crawl out of it.

let’s review.

the cover looks horrendous. who ever did the graphic design needs to be fired. why are they so saturated? why aren’t they proportional? so many questions...

also it should just be “band” not “k-pop band.” how many time do we have to review this? keep up, western media.

the contents list looks very very suspicious... the word choice, the topic choice, the writer choice?????

why “invasion”? i can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is wrong about that word choice. and WHY is chapter 1.2 about enlistment?!!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK. didn’t yoongi just say a month ago to quit that?! it’s BTS’s business, nobody else’s and esp not white americans.

“the idolmaker: bang PD” title feeds into the fucked up and frankly racist delusion that all of k-pop is manufactured. sure, bang runs the company but BTS are where they are today because of their own merits. the cake from. thing and had to make their own way

can we stop comparing BTS to the beatles? like yes, their fanbase and metrics are comparable but they are very different in a lot of ways. BTS is BTS. they’ve said they feel like being compared to the beatles is a lot of pressure and kind of weird.

and the last section. i have to laugh. ARMY can literally recognize a member by their pinkie. their mics each have a unique color and even when it changes, it stays consistent for a tour/era. that’s a lame ass challenge.

TIME has 9 days to fix their shit or they’re gonna get torn to shreds when the whole thing comes out. it’s a tragedy they fucked this up so badly, i really liked their last cover feature.

i don’t know how eloquently i can express this, but this feature truly irks me, not only because it falls into the misconceptions and ideas that ARMY hates, but because it seems to portray BTS to be a vapid, manufactured boyband with no substance and that doesn’t fly.

also, my guess is that this wasn’t BH arpones bc the pictures that they used aren’t from BH’s own collection and there aren’t any “exclusive interviews” from anyone who works at BH or BTS themselves. it appears to just be nothing more than a cash grab.
