Quick rant on #SecretPolice term:
Politicians describing @CBP as #SecretPolice do so, in part, to disassociate their political party's complicity in decades of overkill funding to an agency that uses militarization on border communities.

For instance, the struggle for community orgs working & living in border communities on immigration reform is always about convincing politicians & orgs on the Hill that our communities are not expendable, provincial, or a bargaining chip for a larger immigration reform bill.
In spite of this, funding for @CBP and @ICEgov has been exponential. It can't be a #SecretPolice if they've been funding them all along:

Politicians angry about #BorderPatrol's BORTAC force as #SecretPolice in Portland or in your non-border city, need to be consistent, irrespective of who sits in the Oval office.
Militarization of border communities is a slippery slope, & was always expected to come to your town.

End of rant.
And since you made it this far, here is another reminder about the "we are all immigrants" fallacious trope.
