My family and friends can’t see my newborn child, but sure go ahead and party, you irresponsible, selfish hooligans. https://twitter.com/schaaptop/status/1285801501248466944
For anyone asking why family and friends can’t see my baby — we were affected by the outbreak at St Paul’s Hospital’s NICU. We have to isolate ourselves.

It was bad enough as it is with covid, this has made it traumatic.
On top of everything, my grandma has been in and out of the hospital over the past 5 months. Because of covid, we haven’t been able to see her. Even if she was home now, she too would be unable to see her great grandchild.
I’m not asking for pity. I’m simply sharing my story so you understand what happens when we don’t all commit to fighting covid together.
You’ll get another weekend, you’ll get another summer. But many will not.

Don’t be selfish. Don’t be stupid. Don’t think this won’t affect you.

Be safe, wear a mask, and keep your circles small.

It’s literally in our control to end this sooner than later.
