When developing new shows, there usually has to be a hook to attract people to the show. Like an established name attached or based on an IP. Something to make it stand out in the crowd.

Failing that, it has to remind people of another show. Like nostalgia but for something new
This isn't an inherently bad thing, you look this and with those immediate occasions you can guess right away the tone and feel of the show.
Even watching this on mute, you can gather the dry cynical-sitcom nature of it.
Those assumptions sell you on the show. It's pure marketing
This isn't new. Look at the influence Family Guy had on The Looney Tunes Show & PD Paradise, The Office mockumentary style on The Muppets, The TMNT on a lot of shows in the 90s. And the "calarts" arguement too.
This is a thing forever in cartoons and movies and music and everything.
One smash hit (while a very risky gamble) can redirect the tide of popular media into "more like THAT please".
It can be lazy & try-hard or it can be inspired & genre-defining. Its neither good nor bad.
