However, the left doesn't care about that, as long as they can make some trial lawyer money AFTER this is over, when they'll sue all the grocers and employers who kept people at work over a cough.

For example, most schools now have an assistant principal for discipline, and employees whose primary purpose is administrative. That's all either useless or redundant given computer-based testing and learning, but no layoffs for those folks.
And of course we know that public schools largely pass-failed their students not for the students' benefit, but so the schools could go on to an early vacation without hearing from parents about grades (this is also why they no longer grade homework).
The reality is that parents are being forced to stay home and the taxpayers are still forced to subsidize it because educational 'leadership' in public schools is nearly entirely left...and that's it. In normal states, teachers want to work, too. But their wishes are ignored.
In leftist-run states and cities, the teachers are often in lockstep with their unions, and the schools are practically useless anyway.
I'm hoping everyone reading this agitates for direct school choice, instead of the fiasco this "health" top-down directed strike demonstrates.

Otherwise, this is just the first in a long line of health scares that the left will use, like they've used legal harassment and doxxing, to avoid actual elections based on discussions of what they plan to do when in office. More Biden running on platitudes and smiles.
More 'Hope,' and no platform other than 'caring.' Because the left is all about caring--about the pockets they can pick and the power they can grab.
Not that I trust Trump to do much better. Bluster and bull$#!# is all he's provided so far.
