/ Some of you may have noticed that I've been making some general statements predicting a collapse of K-12 education in the near future. Because I think this is more dangerous than those general statements might indicate, I’d like to follow up with some specifics. ...

Thread
/ Due to the potential impact that COVID-19 will have on students returning to in-class instruction, the timeframe on when I think this will happen may shift. However, I believe it will begin when students return to school, whenever that may occur. ...
/ Also, keep in mind, I have been raising this concern since before COVID-19, and before the recent riots and violence occurring in our country in the name of “Social Justice.” However, these events have accelerated what I believed would have taken another 3-5 years. ...
/ When K-12 students return to school, I believe you will see widespread sit-ins, walkouts, protests. Call outs, intimidation, struggle sessions, calls for apologies & firings. Escalation of conflict btwn students, btwn teachers, btwn students & teachers. ...
/ Increase in fights (likely including beatings by groups of students). ... This will lead to a surge in teachers quitting & retiring early over the next few years which will open the door for lots of new, young, Woke teachers to enter & spread Wokeness further into K-12. ...
/ This will also lead to families who can afford/manage it to pull their children out and find alternatives for their education. (Already happening due to COVID-19. WokeEd will make it worse.) ...
/ ... and Woke roots are too deep in K-12 already, and the backbones that would be required to turn it around are too few and far between. Every incentive in the K-12 system leans towards caving to Wokeness. ...
/ The K-12 collapse that’s coming over the next few years may (MAY) be the “rock bottom” and final straw to wake people up to needed changes (maintaining standards, discipline, responsibility - just to name a basic few). However, I’m not optimistic that it’s recoverable. ...
/ But, even if it is, it will take a very long time, and the chaos that occurs until that happens will cause a lot of damage to the K-12 system and to many, many school children within it. ...
/ When I started raising awareness, a year ago (I wish I knew sooner), about the dangers of the Equity (Woke) agenda entering K-12, I thought it might take another 3-5 years (or so) to reach this point. However, recent events rapidly shortened that timeframe. ...
/ Also, the impact of COVID-19 on schooling will be used as an excuse for failures of the system. Of course, there is some truth to that given the massive and unexpected disruption. ...
/ However, it will be exaggerated and also used as an excuse to push for more Equity (Woke) initiatives, which will accelerate the downward spiral. ...
/ Given this chaotic school environment, there will be a rapid academic decline. (It might be hidden for awhile behind attempts at “culturally responsive assessments,” but don’t be fooled.) ...
/ I will continue to try and help raise awareness about the dangers of the Woke agenda and try to minimize the damage that will be done, but I also wanted to express how serious I think this is and what I think is coming to K-12 schools in the near future.
