To join in on the RD discourse: I think there's something to be said about her political trajectory. In 2016 when I first started getting involved in the party in Canterbury she was on the leftish (centre-left, open-labourish) and voted for Jez in our nomination meeting iirc...
Members were happy in general with her selection (imposed by NEC) as she was left-ish and we were happy and excited to campaign for a radical labour govt and her as our representative of it. Her politics were instantly corrupted on her arrival into parliament.
As a new MP she was snapped up by the right and her politics shifted to that of those she hung around with in parliament and away from any will to represent the working people who elected her. Especially those in her CLP whos criticisms are constantly dismissed by her as trolling
parliament is such a corrupting force and to stay on pushing for the left whilst holding a form state power is difficult to say the least, so when your CLP are thinking of who you want as a candidate- look away from the soft-left please and to committed socialists.
but also the labour party is quite wack x
