I am in awe of politicians. Its VERY hard work. No holidays (no obvious pappu jokes pls), no respite, always looking over ones shoulder, random people pulling the carpet, people poisoning ears of seniors against you.
+
+ If we have one irritating from one's neighbour in the same housing society, we feel stressed. In that if someone files a case against you, then most people will break down there itself. Politicians have so many cases filed against them, some true, some malicious, etc+
+ They have to make appearances in court, in police stations as a matter of routine. and then still continue to work. Whether they work for country or self enrichment, this is exceedingly high level of stress. No off button.

I honestly cannot imagine living like that. Family continuously under scrutiny. Usual human failings become matter of national security, or slander, or sting ops. Filing taxes, so many companies, fingers in so many pies.

Always lying, always smiling, knowing who you can dominate, knowing who you cant and then suddenly doing sir sir sir sir in front of them. biding ones time, to take revenge. remembering what youve lied to someone before.

The intoxication of power must be really heady for anyone to willing to go through this 24/7 for their entire lives until they cant physically carry on. Because even when in jail the politicking doesnt stop.

I know I can never be a politician. I dont aspire to be one. I will be exceedingly bad at it.

But hats off to all those who want to do it. You have my respect, awe, and best wishes.
