Hobo Eren and how his look with one blind eye actually is referring to how Eren is willing to turn a blind eye to things whenever it dosen't benefit him, his plan or the Rumbling

In chapter 97 we see Eren telling Falco how "For most of us that thing isn't our own free will.
We're forced to by others or our own environment". in reference to how you should keep moving forward and how if you continue on that path there is a scenery beyond this hell.

What I'd like to point out was how he believes it isn't free will but the will inflicted upon us by others that makes us do what we do. @Wimlet pointed out to me how Eren is both of the people mentioned by him in that conversation where he gives Falco that advice
Now we see Eren bring up the same words when he talks with Reiner in chapter 99. " You were just a child.
What could you have done to fight that? Your hisotry. Your enviornment."

We see Reiner quickly rejecting this in the next panels. replying with how it wasnt his history or his environment
but it was him.(Basically none of the kids would've gone thru with it if maybe Marcel had survived there.
We even see them having doubts)

Reiner admits it was his shonen genes that made him convice Annie and Bert and eventually Eren's mother being eaten was his fault.

Eren has no reply to this when Reiner mentions it and he turns a *blind eye* to this conversation and then hears Willy Tybur say how "he was born into this world"
Now Eren at first thought that Reiner was someone who was forced by his environement to do all the things he did that day but when he learns that it was his own free will, he wanted to become a hero that day. Just like Eren. Eren says "Im the same as you" twice in their talk but+
When he says it this time he adds "i think we were born this way" meaning he truly did understand what Reiner was saying. But since he has already made up his mind he completely ignores that and still continues what he came here to do
Easily compare this Eren to the one we see in chapter 122 and he comforts Ymir and allows her to lash out on the world bringing up his empathetic side over
Hobo Eren and Eren in general takes into consideration that all his enemies are humans too and that there isnt much of a difference over the sea and inside the walls but in the end he never acts on these discoveries and turns a blind eye over it.
So yeah thats why i think Eren's look in this arc has a bandage over one of his eyes.
Also ty to @Wimlet for filling in the gaps cause there were some things that didnt make sense to me but she helped go follow her!!
