The last couple days have not been a bright spot in the history of science twitter, but there are lots of things I love about science twitter that I would like to highlight some of.
Science twitter shows that scientists aren't cold unfeeling robots, but passionate brilliant people who care.
One place you can see this infectious enthusiasm is @soFISHtication 's animal facts Tik Toks. Seriously, go watch some. Now. I'll wait. You'll be smiling soon.

Recent research shows that cheesy jokes are an effective learning tool. You'd be hard-pressed to find better than the GARbage puns that @SolomonRDavid makes about gar and other primitive fishes. I don't go a day of following him without smiling, rolling my eyes, and learning!
Hashtag games are a fun way to learn. My favorite new one is #GuessTheESkull from Osteological Oligarch @Yara_Haridy She shows skulls and you have to guess what animal they come from.
Sometimes when you study something for a long time it kind of becomes ho-hum and boring. Not for @RebeccaRHelm , whose tweets about jellies and such express genuine wonder and joy every time. She's like this in real life too. It's endearing as hell https://twitter.com/RebeccaRHelm/status/1285278057964752896?s=20
Every week's #SundayFishSketch is something I look forward to. None of this left brain/right brain nonsense, many scientists are also brilliant artists! They're all great, but @FabStat 's shark paintings are always a highlight for me https://twitter.com/fabstat/status/1284695240691970050?s=20
